Scout: A member of the Scout Troop, usually aged 11 to 14.
Scouter: An adult leader or volunteer in the Scout Troop.
Patrol: A small group of Scouts within the Troop, led by a Patrol Leader.
Patrol Leader (PL): The leader of a Patrol, responsible for leading and representing their Patrol.
Assistant Patrol Leader (APL): Assists the Patrol Leader in leading the Patrol.
Troop: The entire group of Scouts, led by Scouters.
Scout Law: A set of guiding principles for Scouts to follow, consisting of 12 points.
Scout Promise: A pledge made by Scouts when they join, outlining their commitment to uphold Scout values.
Investiture: A ceremony where new Scouts are formally welcomed into the Troop and make their Promise.
Campfire: An outdoor gathering where Scouts sing songs, perform skits, and share stories around a fire.
Jamboree: A large gathering of Scouts, often at a regional, national, or international level.
Badge: A cloth emblem awarded to Scouts for completing specific requirements or achievements.
Merit Badge: A badge earned by Scouts for completing a specific set of requirements in a particular area of interest.
Service Project: A community-oriented activity where Scouts volunteer their time to help others.
Necker (Also known as Scarf): A triangular piece of cloth worn around the neck, often displaying the colors or emblem of the Scout Troop.
Woggle: A device to fasten the neckerchief, or scarf, worn as part of the Scout or Girl Guides uniform, originated by a Scout in the 1920s.
